Golf lessons

Want to improve your game or learn a new sport? Golf lessons with John Rose are £50 per hour or £25 per half hour, available on weekdays (Monday to Friday, not weekends). Lessons aren't tied to our opening hours, so they can be booked on days we're closed. Lessons must be booked at least one week in advance. Get in touch to book.

Kids' Parties

Give them a party with plenty of room to run around in our fully heated marquee.

Kids' party package: £220. Includes benches, use of speakers, trestle tables for food, disco lighting, a small bouncy castle, diddy cars and soft play
Two party times: morning, 9am to 1pm, or afternoon, 1pm to 5pm. Each 4-hour slot gives you 1 hour to set up, 2 hours of party and 1 hour to clear away.
£50 deposit to book, £170 balance on the day
The £50 deposit is refundable if you reschedule or cancel more than six weeks before your event. It's non-refundable within six weeks.
Ideal for children of any age under 12. For under-6s we also have specialist play parks, perfect for little ones, with a ball pit and a slide inside the castle.

Marquee & Events

Fully heated marquee, comfortable all year round

Our marquee is a big, bright space that we dress to suit your occasion, from weddings and milestone birthdays to evening parties, Christmas dos and kids' parties. Choose your colours and we'll set it up with chair covers, sashes, table runners and centrepieces. There's a dance floor and DJ area, and the bar is right on site.

How booking works

Planning a ceremony? We're not licensed for legal ceremonies, so make it official at a register office first. Then enjoy a full celebrant-led ceremony in our marquee (we've hosted these before), or just book the reception.

Enquire. Email enquiries@priorygolf.co.uk with your date, guest numbers and colour scheme. We'll check the date and send our wedding details.
View the venue. Come and see the marquee and talk through your plans. Ask us for photos of previous weddings too.
Pay a £200 deposit to hold your date by card, bank transfer or cash.
Pay the balance in two stages: 50% six weeks before your wedding, then the remaining balance one week before, so everything is paid in full. Pay by card, bank transfer or cash.
Enjoy your day. We set up the marquee in your colours, ready for you and your guests.

Wedding FAQs

Can we get married at The Priory?

Priory isn't licensed for legal ceremonies, so you'll need to make it official at a register office or church first (many couples do this the day before or that morning). You're then very welcome to have a full celebrant-led ceremony in our heated marquee, and we've hosted these before, followed by your reception.

Can we book just the reception?

Yes, reception-only bookings are very welcome, with no ceremony needed.

Can we bring our own caterer?

We offer various food options on request. If you'd like to use your own caterer, just ask when you enquire.

Which days can we get married?

Weddings can be booked any day of the week. They aren't tied to our opening hours. Weekday weddings (Monday to Thursday) are from £2,000, and weekend weddings (Friday to Sunday) are from £2,750.

How big is the marquee, and how many guests can it hold?

The marquee is 27m x 9m. It seats up to 120 guests, and any extra guests are standing room only.

How much time do we get to set up?

You can get into the marquee from 9am on your wedding day.

Do extra chairs, tables or decor cost more?

No. Extra chairs, tables and decor are included in the Main Wedding Package, so there's nothing more to pay for them.

When is the balance due?

After your £200 deposit, 50% is due six weeks before your wedding and the remaining balance one week before, so everything is paid in full a week ahead.

Can we bring our own wine?

No. All drinks are supplied by Priory, so couples can't bring their own. Wine for the tables is £15 a bottle, with glasses included.

Is the marquee heated?

Yes, the marquee is fully heated, so it's comfortable all year round.

Can we play our own music or have a DJ?

The package includes a dance floor and use of our speakers and lighting equipment if required, and we can put you in touch with a DJ.

Can we see photos of previous weddings?

Yes, just ask when you enquire and we'll send you pictures of previous weddings.

Is there anything for children?

Bouncy castles are available on request (Bouncy castles by Storm Castles), and there's a grass area outside.

Relax in the Priory clubhouse bar with Poretti, Somersby Cider and Carlsberg on tap, plus bottled beers, Guinness, wine, spirits and soft drinks, a slush machine in summer, tea & coffee and crisps & chocolate. There's also a dart board.

Enjoy a drink in the sun on our outdoor seating while the kids play on the grass area.
